About the Artist

Cateri Dodginghorse is a 20-year-old illustrator and multidisciplinary artist who is Tsuut’ina, Amskapi Piikani, and Saddle Lake Cree. He uses traditional and digital drawing techniques to create his artwork.

His work explores memory, dreams, and place. The majority of his artwork comes from dreams of which he creates pieces out of. Materials he commonly uses are oil pastels, old magazines, photo collage, and plasticine.

Recently, he published “Dreaming Memories'', a zine about his experience and understanding of dreams through an emotional and cultural lens tied to home and land. Cateri was raised and lives on the Tsuut’ina Nation.
